Once the consumers find a product or products that they want to buy, an online check-out is often established (like the physical shopping cart in supermarkets). Then the shoppers will be asked to make the payment. The most common method used when paying for online purchases is by Credit Cards. Also gaining popularity are Debit Cards, Cash on Delivery, Direct Debits, Paypal, Gift Cards, Wire Transfers, Cheque and Postal Money Orders and Bank Drafts. Some sites have some restrictions attached to different methods of payment.(In our next blog, we will discuss about "Delivery" of the purchases).

Some 3 years later, retailers began to sell their products beginning 1994. Online Banking, Pizza Hut and similar others opened their internet stores. The first online shopping system was first brought in by a German Company called Intershop in 1994, followed by Amazon in 1995 and E-Bay in 1996. The introduction of Secure Online Shopping introduced by Netscape further strengthened the "Online Shopping" idea.

2013 International Consumer Electronics Show - An Overview

This show is organized annually by Consumer Electronics Association, Arlington, Virginia, USA. The show floor is approximately equal to the size of 400 Basketball Courts. 2013 CES took place in Las Vegas in Early January 2013 and had more than 150,000 visitors. It takes months to prepare for the show and the revenue from the Consumer Electronic Industry is expected to be in the $200 to $210 billion range in 2013. Attendees to the show include Exhibitors, The Press, National & International Visitors and many others.
